Exceptional Septic Tank cleaning

If you live in a rural area or have vacation property far from the city, you're probably familiar with septic systems.  In short, a septic system is your very own on-site sewage treatment facility.  It's used primarily where access to a municipal sewer system is not available.  Your septic system is out of sight and when properly maintained - it's odorless.

• For the most part, your septic system is maintenance free.  A well-built, properly maintained septic tank can last for many years.  However, the leach field will most likely require some treatment and possible replacement after about 15 to 20 years of use.  (The leach field is the underground area where all of the sewage drainpipes are located.)

• There are a few simple rules that should help to make your septic system trouble free for many years.  These includes not using too much water and not putting materials in the tank that bacteria can't decompose.   Additionally, when too many solids build up, the septic tank will need to be cleaned.  

• It's important for you and your family to be aware of what is put into your septic system.  There is a delicate biological balance within the tank that can easily be disrupted.  To maximize the live of your septic system, you should be mindful about everything that's introduced into it.
